The popular tourist town of Lovran is located south of the Opatija Riviera, at the northern beginning of the Kvarner Bay, and is named after the laurel tree that is widespread there.

The varied landscape, which offers visitors everything from diverse beaches to evergreen forests in the mountains, and the Mediterranean climate, are just a few of the reasons why Lovran has been visited by holidaymakers from all over the world for over 100 years.

The old town enchants visitors with its historical charm. Sights include the Romanesque chapel from the 14th century and the St. George's Church from the 12th century. Furthermore, various exhibitions and events with local dishes and traditions as well as a wide range of leisure activities are offered in the city.
